The leaf pieces do not have a number printed on the back, the dashes on the front indicate the number.

Ways to explore: Count the marks on the leaves, then match with the corresponding number in the tray. Counting the lobes on the leaf is another way to practice. As counting skills increase, the higher numbers will come into reach.
